Tango has been in training through the Stable to Stirrup program for retraining and rehoming off the track standardbreds as ridden horses. Tango has been under saddle and in training since December 2024.
Tango has done flatwork in the arena, gone out on road rides and paddock rides with company, and has seen a range of traffic. She has been out to the forest with a new rider and new horses and handled it like she had done it before.
Tango has been out road riding on her own but can get anxious without company, however this will improve with more outings and a confident and experienced rider.
Tango would suit a hacking or trekking home. Walk and trot achieved under saddle although she will pace from time to time. Has attempted canter a few times, getting a couple strides in before coming back to the pace.
She is looking for her new home with a kind, patient and confident rider who is able to continue her education and is not afraid to push her forward.
Tango has a sweet nature, is easy to have around, easy to catch and handle, good to worm and for the farrier and dentist.
Dental, farrier, and worming all up to date. Has also had a few bodywork sessions. Tango has been treated for ulcers due to showing signs of gut discomfort, and this has steadily improved.
Currently $800. Price will increase with more training and the more experiences she gains.
