Volunteers

As a charity volunteers are the lifeblood of the Standardbred Stable to Stirrup Trust. We welcome people with the following skill sets to join us, so that together we can make the organisation as sustainable and successful as possible. With a simple joint aim: to rehome as many retired standardbreds as we can.

  • Social Media content planning and publishing co-ordination

    • Help us raise awareness of the Trust’s work and grow the network of supporters

  • Graphic design and copy writing

    • Make us look as good and professional as possible while fully accessible to all stakeholders.

  • Photography and image editing

    • Each horse has its own profile page on our website, and its own Facebook album. We’d like to regularly receive pictures of them, for sharing on social media and the website.

  • Fundraising

    • Completing funding applications is a big task. They need to be successful in order to sustain the organisation. We are also on the constant lookout for bright ideas and practical help on other fundraising activities such as bake sales, merchandise trading, and one-off events & activities.

  • Event co-ordination

    • If you enjoy attending and running events and have some spare time then we’d love to hear from you. We always need people to help us arrange events for fundraising. These events might be as small as visiting a school for a gold coin donation, or as involved as hosting a major corporate fundraiser at a race meeting.

  • Website content & SEO

    • The Stable to Stirrup website and our social media presence are key points of contact for us. We need savvy people who can update and create website content and ensure the SEO is doing what it needs to. You may prefer to do the social media side of things … we don’t mind a bit! We just want to use our digital marketing tools to get the word out.

The Stable to Stirrup Trust Board is a close-knit group of people with passion and love for these animals. We need people who are as passionate as we are about the standardbred rehoming cause.

If you are interested in volunteering for the Trust in any of these roles, please contact us so that we can get you on to the database. Either click the button below or email hello@stabletostirrup.org
