Ralph’s Legacy (Ralph)

Infohorse link

2011 - bay gelding - 15hh

Ralph came to Stable to Stirrup in January 2025 to be rehomed. Ralph had already been under saddle, but his owner was finding it difficult to take Ralph out on his own hacking as he was very anxious when out alone.

When Ralph arrived at our facility, we started him on VetPro Relax supplement and his whole demeanor changed, and he became much more relaxed and able to cope with ridden life.

Unfortunately, we discovered Ralph was unsound due to having ‘high low’ Syndrome where one front hoof is upright and boxy, and the other hoof is low. In most cases horses with high low syndrome remain sound with good farrier care and management.

Due to Ralph’s condition, we are offering him for FREE to a paddock mate home. Alternatively, if Ralph is provided with professional corrective farrier care and soundness is achieved, he could return to being a light hack/trekking horse.

Dental, farrier trim, and worming up to date.
